Day 10: Carlisle to Peebles . . . 69 miles (felt like 169)

Again another wet wet wet day, cold, windy and probably the hardest day yet . . . but arrived in Scotland after about 2 hours cycling . . . So we have cycled the length of England now all we have to do is cycle the lengh of Scotland . . .

A really great day for views of the borders . . . when it stopped raining! The Tibetan Tea Centre was a welcome break and their scotch broth was the best thing we have eaten.

Thanks to Sue at the Crown Hotel for the donation to the hospice . . . Oliver Reid spent his 60th birthday party at the Crown the picture on the wall looked like he had spend 60 years in the Crown bar.

We slipped into a small chippy and had the best haddock and chips in Scotland.
